Xbox 360 - ds downloading games. Help!

My DH has fallen out with my ds because he has (for the umpteenth time) downloaded a game for the Xbox 360, cost £10. Seems you don't need a password or anything to do this - surely this can't be right.

Has anyone else had this issue and how did you solve it? Can we set up a password so that like iTunes you have to sign in in order for payment to be taken?

Before I get a hard time because he should know not to do this, I checked and thought it was a free trial (turns out the game is called something trial). Just want to make sure that in future dh has to sign in for him so that he only has himself to blame

Thanks

Ours is set up so that DSs can only purchase games if they have enough Microsoft points to do so (get cards for birthdays etc). If it is linked to a debit or credit card go on to your Microsoft account on a computer and remove anything which money can be taken from. In parental settings you can set it so you need pass codes to spend money, limit time spent on xbox etc Smile

Just remove the card details from the xbox account. My DS has an xbox and uses it for some internet stuff like netflix but he can't download anything that requires payment as I didn't set the account up with a credit card. Your DS has caused the situation so he can't complain when you disconnect the ability to download stuff or do stuff which requires card details.

Did you resolve this? And if so, how did you do it? We're just setting up xbox live on the 360 and don't want to make the same mistake.

Grateful for any advice.
