Hi,
We are heading to Blackpool in August for 4 nights with baby and 2yearold and I was wondering what toddler friendly exciting places there were to visit there apart from the zoo?

Any suggestions greatly appreceiated.

Thanks

Hi - I live in Blackpool - there is the zoo and opposite is Stanley Park which is really nice. There is the sea-life centre the tower which has quite a good play area witin in. There is the pleasure beach as it has beavers creek specially for toddlers and of course there is always the beach. If you head up to St Annes it is quite nice around there as well (not far outside Blackpool).

Is the toddler exactly 2? We took DD to the Tower when she was 2.3, and she loved it! I never thought she would sit through the circus but she did she was hypnotized...I thought it was great family fun.

sandy, I was going to suggest going to St Annes too! I live there.
The beach is lovely and the amusements are more manageable than in Blackpool.
In Blackpool itself, the zoo is ok and Stanley park has a big lake with boats.
The Tower has a children's play area, Jungle Jims.

Farmer Parr's Animal Farm in Fleetwood is also great fun, about 25 mins drive from Blackpool if your in the car.

hi sandy, yes the beach cafe is great when it is wet and windy outside and you can sit and have a coffee and watch the weather outside.
fairhaven lake is great too and a favourite place for breakfast on a sunday

daisy, farmer parr's is a fun day out, you can even get a ride on a tractor

By the airport there is a Wacky Warehouse pub called The Hot Air Balloon as well, in case of rain.
