Whitesands bay, Sennen Cove, Tate St Ives.
Do you have a car down there?

Oh well everything! It's lovely.

OK, Tate, Sennen Cove, the little railways that runs along the coast, there's a lovely little beach called Carbis Bay to the north of St Ives. Too much to mention.

Lucky you.

Agree that you need a car ideally.

Well if you are prepared to drive a bit there is always Eden. And St Michael's Mount is gorgeous (other side of the peninsula). There are some Iron Age villages around the Penzance area, and a walk that takes in a few prehistoric stone circles and the Men an Tol. Mousehole is worth a visit too - towards Lands End.

Just in case that wasn't sarcasm here are some links.

If it wasn't accept my apologies.

It's hard to get cut off at St Michaels Mount. If you pay attention to the tides.

Marazion and over to St Michael's Mount.

Porthcurno which is near the Minack is just the most beautiful beach with a great cafe too.

Not sure how long you are going for but we treated ourselves to a trip to the Scilly Isles - well worth it.

St Ives itself is fantastic. Busy at times but there are 4 or 5 beaches to choose from.

Oh yes Porthcurno is the most perfect beach!

Orm, no, not sarcastic, I genuinely do find that exciting!

Re St Michael's Mount, am sure I remember a family getting stranded half way across in Feb or March and appearing on the news as they had ignored the enormous warning signs and I thought 'noone is that stupid' until they followed the story up with advice from the coastguards that they had already rescued one car a week this year. That won't happen to me. Am a great rule follower.

Oh that's good. I'm an archaeologist by training and drag my family all over the country looking at old stones. But I wasn't sure if you were being serious. Many people glaze over when I start talking archaeology.

my grandparents lived next to the A5 - Watling St, and while I was growing up there was an archaeological dig in the field behind their house. very exciting. there were also cows in the same field that i thought grew out of mushrooms. and a big stone that i thought was a doorway to narnia. so i have magical associations with archaeology. incorrect ones, but no matter.
