How about the Seaham Hall Hotel and Serenity Spa. Sorry I cant do links but its easy to find on Google. Different packages available. You may find something there. I havent been but heard its very nice.

Stobo Castle - if you stay in a Lodge not too expensive.

Have fun

bumping for you... I wanted to take my Mum for a spa break in the NE for her birthday, Seaham Hall overpriced IMO so would be interested in other ideas.

I second Stobo Castle - if I ever win the lottery I will move in there .

(that sounded rude to gomez, sorry, am thread crashing looking for something in the North East rather than scotland but a reminder that the OP IS interested in Scotland!)

A lot of posh hotels are running at a loss at the moment. Give them a phone and ask for their best price - be persistent! You never know your luck

One Spa is lovely and do nice day packages. Fairly pricey though.

How about Whinfell (Center Parc)? .

Have just come back from Stobo and had a lovely time and came back feeling so relaxed. They were advertising £119 each in castle lodge but this includes dinner and breakfast and lunch the following day plus Indian head massage.

it's just so fabby there i want to book again tomorrow!
