We have been invited to a friends fancy dress charity doooo that is taking place in Wallingford Oxfordshire. Looking for B&Bs and hotels at the mo and have come across some that are megabucks - It appears that this area classes itself as part of the Cotswolds and this is reflected in the prices of the rooms (£70 to sleep in a shoebox etc)
Then I had a burst of initiative. Dp has a contact at Malmaison and Du Vin Hotels that can get him rooms for £65. There is a malmaison in Oxford, but oxford is obv not wallingford itself.
Is wallingford a mission to get to from Oxford?
There are four of us going, two cars, we would drive from Oxford to wallingford for the party in one car, leave the car there and then return back to oxford in a taxi. Return to wallingford the next day to pick up our car. So we owuld only be forking out for a taxi one way.
I think it may be a good idea, but not if its a bare mission to get from A to B.
