Weekend in September for active mum aged 80 and myself

Any suggestions for the NW (Yorks Lake District etc but not too far)
Derbyshire would be nice,LLandudno is out (memories of my late dad)A homely B&B or small Hotel but we must have our own rooms,I don`t want to share with her.Any ideas gratefully recieved! Many thanks!
