Any locals to that area or frequent visitors have any suggestions? We have a 6 year old and 18 month old to entertain!

Got vouchers for FlamingoLand - so that is covered.

But need some good (and cheap!) suggestions for other days out!

Hi there.

Trains at Pickering/Goathland (Heartbeat Country), there is a lovely walk from the Mallyan Spout Hotel in Goathland to Grosmont and you can catch the train back, but it's fairly pricey.
Dalby Forest has excellent play areas and pushchair friendly walks - £7 toll but you can manage almost a full day. There is Sealife in Scarborough but that is super expensive unless you pick up a voucher.
Do you have walkers brit trip vouchers? They are valid locally - free entry to Rievaulx Abbey/Nunnington Hall, and there are 2 for 1s too.
I have never been here but I've read good reviews.
Robin Hoods Bay is worth a visit too. and there is a good car boot sale on Pickering showground on Sundays. Trout farm? Can't think of anything else.

Eden Camp is a fab day out - very informative.

Peasholme Park in Scarborough is lovely, as is Scarborough beach, Bridlington and Filey.

You are fairly close to York which is a fab day out, it has dungeons and the yorvik centre as well as some more traditional museums and things to do.

Forbidden Corner at Leyburn is fab.

Lightwater Valley is better than Flamingoland, much cleaner and a nicer experience imo.

Skipton Castle is good but it gets busy.

Have a good weekend!
