Exeter, Eden Project & St Ives accommodation suggestions pls

We're planning on going on our first official family vacation with our 15mth old toddler. We will be driving down Cornwall (with St Ives as our 'final destination') & stopping in Exeter & at the Eden Project along the way. Does anyone have any suggestions on places to stay for 1-3 nights in any of those places? We would ideally like modern but reasonably-priced accomodation - if that's even possible.

Or any suggestions for other places to stay in Cornwall for a few days with a very curious & active toddler would also be appreciated....

Thanks in advance!

We have stayed at Exeter youth hostel a couple of times, with children. It's quite smart as youth hostels go - was renovated recently, and good with toddlers.

If you were looking to stay for a while in Cornwall, I can totally recommend Higher Lank Farm in St Breward - they specialise in holidays for toddlers, and its the only place I have been with DS that was relaxing ! Whole place toddler proof, loads of games and toys inside and out, animal feeding, nursery teas, they even provide cloth nappies or will wash yours.

We had a lovely time, and DS still hasn't stopped talking about it !

The premier travel inn near St Austell would be nice for one night. It opened last year so is hopefully still quite clean..you can just see the sea from some rooms and it has a restaurant (food ok but nothing amazing). I think it is quite near the Eden project.

We have just come back from a week in St Ives and had a fab time
We rented a 3 bed cottage which was great - couldnt fault it - very well equipped for families

Have you been to Bude? I can recommend an excellent child friendly B&B there!
