Money off codes or anything?

DH & I are at hospital tomorrow first thing so we thought we would have a night off too

I don't think you can get discounts off travellodges or travel inns. You just have to book so many days in advance in order to get them cheap. Very annoying.

You can quite often get good deals on lastminute.com ie. hotel with 3/4 stars for less than a Travel Lodge type place

No - we are going to Papworth tomorrow & want to stay overnight a bit closer (2.5 hr journey)

But the travelodge don't even have a proper breakfast

What about Holiday Inn Express - they do breakfast - there is one in Cambridge.

What about novotel, they usually do reasonably priced rooms.

We usually stay at premier inn, have found them quite helpful in the past (i.e. letting us use their fridge for DD2's milk which she craves 1st thing). Enjoy your evening.
