Im thinking of having a week break in the uk and am considering centre parcs I have a 3 year old and 3 month old. I was looking at the longleat one. Has anyone been there recently and got any feedback? or anyone been somewhere else in the uk which they would recommend?

Not been to Longleat but have been to Sherwood Forest and Penrith and love them. In the last couple of years have been many times and never ever get board.

go and enjoy!

Sherwood is much better than Longleat IMO. longleat is far too hilly and spaced out- its massive.

Sherwood is much more compact on level.

Have been to Sherwood 4x and Longleat just once, going back to sherwood in December

Went to Whinfell last year with 4 month old and 2 year old. Was very very cynical and loved it. Going back in Nov.

The longleat one is lovely but very hilly, especially if you go down to where all the sports halls are. Someone recommended the Norfolk one to me - dont know which it is but apparently its a lot flatter.

i thought it a bit expensive for staying in a mobile home car park

food is dire so you need to self cater

swim pool is good for older kids but packed in the bit for your age kids

i think youd have more fun staying somewhere eg near windsor going to their swimming pool and going to lego land

I found the food at Whinfell to be good. Granted we didn't eat in the pub or the American themed bar but the Italian and the Indian were both of a good standard. And we're both quite snobbish about our food. But yes, if you have young children it better to self-cater.

longleat if you are outdoors type of family lots of walking and biking up hills,

i found it hard work with my 2 but i was on my own as you have to leave car outside,

it is nice but over priced, and your little ones are bit young to make the most of the over priced activities
