I'm visiting brighton for a few days next week. We've a hotel on sea front so close to sea and pier but was wondering if anyone had recommendations for nice family restaurants for early evening meals and other activities for 6 and 4 year old girls? Have aquarium in mind in case it rains but not sure what else?
Thanks in advance.

The pier has some kids rides and trampolines. My DC love yo sushi which is in the laines. There are quite a lot of restaurants in the laines ... It depends what you all like to eat. You have Churchill square short walk from the seafront full of shops, plus restaurants upstairs.

Try going on the Volks Miniature Railway from the pier to the marina. The marina has bowling cinema etc and lots of restaurants to choose from looking over the marina. Think Zizzi's, Nando's and so forth.

Half way along the journey from the pier to the marina is a station with a great park for play if the weather is good.

The playground by the West Pier has a great paddling pool and should be v close to your hotel so make sure to take swimming stuff.

Yes I agree to get the Volks railway to the marina.

If you want a bit of a different restaurant than the usual high street ones and if you like Indian food, the Chilli Pickle are great for kids.

I have a 3yo and 5yo and recently went to the pier with them (annual treat!) If they are between 90cm and 120cm tall then they can get a wristband for £9 which gives them unlimited access to a selection of kiddie rides. Mine spent the equivalent of £60 going on just one ride alone (again and again and again and again...) It's easy to get your money's worth!

I'm not sure what the age limits are but Hove Lagoon offer a range of watersports tuition.
