Talk to me about Cornwall

We'll be going the week before October half term and travelling from the Midlands so I don't really want to go much further down than Newquay. We'd like a visit to the Eden Project too.

Looking for things to do with a 4 year old, decent beaches to walk along, rock pools if possible and enough for her to do, particularly if the weather is wet.

In terms of accommodation, I usually like a bit of luxury but I can go abroad on a very nice city break for about £800 so I'd say my limit for Cornwall was around £600 for 4 nights (so I probably can't get much luxury for that). That said, I don't mind staying in a nice lodge or very premium caravan thing if the facilities are good.

Can anyone help with area, accommodation, activities etc?

We visit the Looe and south east cornwall when we go down to cornwall. you can get to the eden project within half an hour and to lands end in around an hour and a half. A lot of the play parks will still be open like woodlands and crealy. I would start by having a look at the visitcornwall website for things to do. when we stay in looe we stay Here Wouldn't think it would be anything like £600 for 4 nights. You could also have a look at Alistair sawdays for luxury places. would avoid yurts and caravans personally. What sort of on site facilities do you want?

I would suggest somewhere in central Cornwall so you can get to everywhere easily. Have a look at Sands Hotel or Bedruthan Steps hotel or Watergate Bay hotel, all of which are family friendly and really, really nice.

Basically all beaches in Cornwall are lovely, most with beautiful golden sand so you will be spoils for choice.
