Where to stay in Devon?

Hi, we're looking to go to Devon in the summer for a holiday having never been before. Wondering if anyone can recommend any accommodation?

We're open to different types. When we go away in the UK we usually stay in a caravan on a holiday site with pool, entertainment (evening disco etc), parks etc on site. But we'd be open up to other possibilities- cottage etc. Just looking for somewhere that comes with a good recommendation.
Thanks in advance Smile

North Devon is lovely. Westward Ho! has caravan accommodation with entertainment.

Instow is a beautiful little coastal village with a great beach and nice places to eat.

Croyde is another pretty beach village with lots of holiday cottages.

Also, look at Pig on the Hill just outside of Bideford. It's an amazing pub with some log cabins. HTH! Smile

I live in Bideford. It's lovely down here :) we came on holiday and ended up moving here.

Appledore is pretty. Woolacombe is nice but busy in summer - good holiday parks tho.

There is a park resort called Bideford Bay which is a little way out of town but has lovely lodges and chalets and caravans.

Local attractions include the big sheep and milky way.

Woodovis Park near Tavistock is brilliant. We stayed there for a week in a caravan two years ago and it was the best holiday we've ever had, so much so the kids want to go back again this year! Very highly recommended.

We have stayed twice at Robin Hill Farm cottages near Bideford. It's got an indoor pool with jacuzzi and a games room. Highly recommended.Smile

North Devon is great. We love Ilfracombe and Woolacombe! The coastline is fantastic.
