Hi everyone we are coming to Skegness in July for a week and have never been so I was hoping you lovely folks could tell us where to go/ where not to go etc. There will be me, my husband, my dad (65), my mum (63), my dd(7), & my ds(3). Looking for things for everyone to do, good places to eat etc as its like a retirement holiday for my dad and might be the last holiday we can all afford. Thanks to anyone who can help xx

Hi. I live a few miles from skeg and I love it. Always lots to do. Amusements are in abundance so save up 2ps especially if the weather isn't so good. There is a new sealift centre there. Not been. Heard its good but doesn't take long to get around. There is also a seal sanctuary on the beach too and it has a butterfly house inside. On the outskirts of skeg is a parrot sanctuary. Although it has lots of other animals now including tigers. It makes a lovely family day out. The beach is lovely at skeg and goes on for miles. It's clean although the water is a bit murky. Down the road from skeg is Ingoldmells. It has fantasy island which has rides go adults and kids. So a wristband are cheaper. There is also a big outdoor market there too. Full of everything you need and don't need. There is also a small fair in skeg too. Again a wristband might be the cheaper option. Or to pay as you go depending on the children's ages.

To eat. Plenty of chip shops. Kfc. McDonald's etc. But a nice treat on s Friday or Saturday night on the outskirts is a place called Rednecks. They are an American restaurant but it has all you can eat buffets at the weekend.

Hope this helps a little. Any thing else just ask. Have a great time X

Also forgot to mention Butlins is only a couple of miles from Skegness. And you can get day passes for that too X

Sorry me again. Keep thinking of more things lol. For your parents Boston is 20 miles away. The train and bus both go often. On a Wednesday there is a 100 + market stalls and a large auction selling everything from clothes to fruit and veg. Sweets. Cakes. Bread etc. The market is also there on Saturdays too. And on the way back is Johnsons garden centre. Has a nice restaurant, local food shop and at the back is a falconry centre. At the minute it's free. Opposite the road is a Brewers fayre pub with children's play area and 2 for £10.99 meals

Not forgetting that you must try some Lincolnshire sausages!! Think I have given you enough to do for a few weeks lol X
