I am trying to plan our first family holiday with DD and need some help! Quite nervous as will be first overnight stay for DD away from home. Sticking to UK as would prefer to be near home in case baby is unwell and we need to return quick. Looking at N Wales and wondered if anyone had any ideas/recommendations of where to go/stay? I would like self catering, near nice walks or beach as expect with baby activities will mainly be nice pram friendly walks and lots of relaxation time for me. Oh should add going for one week.

Oops. Llandudno or Anglesey.
Lots to do in both.

Mrs there's a model village in Anglesey that's quite good. Though having been to the one down in Devon, it was significantly smaller but still worth the trip if you're in Anglesey anyway. Also visit that place with the really long name - Llanfair-PG. There's not much there but its a great place to take photos :) have you thought about staying in Caernarfon? There's the castle there and IIRC it's pretty flat.

I went on holiday to North Wales a few years back and stayed near Snowdonia so not great for prams but we visited Caernarfon, Bangor, Anglesey and I think Caernarfon or Anglesey were the best. I love Bangor as a city but not somewhere Id go on holiday.

Staying I snowdonia with a pram is doable! We have babies too and use prams on roads. Maybe not a cottage on the hillside. There are ample cottages in snowdonia with accessible roads.

There is a lot more in Llandudno than anywhere on Anglesey. And Llandudno has a nice long flat strand alongside the beach. But it's a stone beach. Anglesey has better beaches (which are impossible to push a double pram on but a single may fare better).

Get yourself a good baby carrier or wrap and get out walking!

Bedd gelert is very pretty and lovely walks.

Port Meirion was fab...I really loved it.

It's a beautiful part of the world, loads to be done outdoors.

Have you thought about West Wales? Pembrokeshire is beautiful, we're heading there for a week in July with 3yr old & 5 month old. X
