Butlins Just for Tots

Morning - we're looking to go away in September with a then 20 month old & 3.5 yo. A leaflet for a 'Just for Tot's week in Butlins came with a clothing order and got me thinking. It looks like good value & lots to do. we'd be looking at the Skegness location.

Any personal recommendations, or NOT recommendations? Any suggestions as to what type of property, self-catering vs hotel, etc... Thanks!!

We have been on one of these in May last year and are doing another one in a couple of weeks, although in Minehead. Last year DS is 2.5, DD is 4.

Butlins is what it is, but I find it very good value and the Tots week is very much catering for pre-schoolers. Various shows (which DS actually watched and which I am hoping he will watch again), characters walking around saying hello, the go cart area was replaced with Cosy-cope cars for toddlers to race around in, toddler sing alongs and discos, that kind of thing. It helps that we had fantastic weather in May last year and spent 2 long days on the beach too, but I am very much looking forward to our week away next week and think that the DC will have a great time. If they can be persuaded to actually watch a show, DH and I can sit down together to have a drink at the same time, rather than one of us always marshalling the smalls Smile

Is brilliant for tots for the price (it's not 5 but you aren't paying 5 prices)
We've been a couple of times when the kids were younger and the accommodation and food (if going for the half board option) is basic but the characters and activities are what makes the holiday for the kids. We've seen Thomas tank engine, dd did a ballet class with angelina ballerina, we've been to science shows and a Katie I can cook show where dd went up on stage, etc etc. pool is good and a little fair for the kids.
