thinking of going at Easter, is it suitable for a 10 year old and which resort hotel would you recommend the Safari or Aztec?

The Azteca is the new hotel so would opt for that. We stayed in Safari last year.. Really enjoyed the whole experience but the room was a bit 'tired'.

Yes.. Our boys last year were 10 and 7.. 10 yr old went on everything.. No fear!! As well as the rides there are animals/shows etc. 2 days were just right particularly as day one was v v busy but next day so much quieter. Also the hotel has a pool.. It was shut last yr as they were building the new hotel adjacent.Smile

ah great thanks my DS is fearless and he will go on everything, we are wondering how to do it as we are planning on staying over in the Aztec Hotel.

Not sure if we should stay 2 nights although it would be quite pricey with food etc... we usually do 1 night stay at Legoland but dont think it is as big as Chessington seems.

We thought we would arrive around 10am, drop bags off go straight to theme park, then after a full day go back to hotel check in, use pool, ready for dinner, bed next morning check out, back to park, zoo etc.. drive home (2 hour drive)

Yes sounds gd.. We arrived at 12.. Parked at hotel car park.. Went into park until 5..,checked into hotel and then out to dinner.. Back to hotel to see animals ( privilege for hotel guests).. Next morning breakfast in hotel and full day in park.. It was great.
