We went to Elvedon last year in early Dec and they had all the Xmas stuff going on. Really great time and Santa's grotto was v good (you have to book ahead for that). They also had this hilarious animatronic singing stable of reindeer doing Xmas hit which the kids loved. Dh's b est moment though was taking dd out to look at the frozen over pond (it was v cold that weekend) and a baby deer came along on the other side and went for a Bambi-style skitter on the ice. Good time to go IMO.

Thanks for the replies. We have booked Longleat from 22-29 Dec. Have been a few times before but not at Christmas. Just wondered what it was like, from the replies, should be good.

Def book as much ahead as you can. We thought the jazz brunch on Sunday was good (all you can eat pancakes are a treat on a cold day!). Also we missed out on getting ds1, dd and my niece into an Xmas party run by the Time Out Clubs which looked like it would have been really good.

Hi - we too are going to Centerparcs over Christmas this year - but to the Sherwood site. We went over New Year once and there were a few extras - eg. the children got little stockings with sweets in when we booked for the jazz brunch on New Years Day.

I too would love to hear from someone else who has been to Centerparcs over Christmas. Is the pre-bookable Christmas tree a decent one? What about the 'Xmas dinner' package?

Please no posts being mean about Centerparcs (which I got the one and only other time I posted a message )

Many thanks!!
