LisaLisa or anyone else who stays in hotels, what's The Grove like? Or where is as nice?

Lisalisa, just wondering how you got on, or maybe it's this weekend you've gone, I'm not sure, but I think you were going to go to The Grove, so did you? And was it amazing? Details please!

I'm looking at their site and baulking a bit at prices for their suites (I know the rooms are slightly cheaper but they're still expensive) as we're now thinking about where to go for 2 nights for my 40th in October, so any recommendations would be very welcome, especially if anyone's been, I drool over hotel sites as a hobby but would love any recommendations.

I know, you may already have given your views on my other hotel thread, I will go back through that too. TIA! And as an aside, if you're charging £1k for the presendential suite, don't you think people might like a PHOTO or virtual tour on your website? It really gets to me when hotels don't do this.

My sister is in the hotel industry, and The Grove, is THE place at the mo, it is doing fantastically well and people love it. Someone from here went recently. Hubby had a corporate dinner there and said it was really good (would have been better if wives could have gone!)

My fave is Whatley Manor, that is sooo relaxing, lovely location, amazing spa, gorgeous food, nice staff.....
