2 adults 2 children

loved nottingham castle and magna a couple of years ago.

so some combination like that would be ace.

If we went to York how far is it to flamingo land?

you want a city? Bath maybe?
I loved the competition I won on here to go to a natural retreats place. www.naturalretreatsresidences.com/

and i am so not a mini break type

How far do you want to travel and where roughly are you?

Predictable I know but London would have plenty to do and there are some cheap hotel rooms/offers from Premier Inn etc.

thanks Mellow, we have done London alot with PiL as they live there.

Bath, Hmm never thought of going in that direction.
We have 2 very physically active boys, which is why the castle and magma were so good on our nottigham/sheffield break.
What is there for them to do in Bath (please forgive the ignorance)

Warwick Castle? Then you're not far from Cadbury World, plus Birmingham generally, if you're up for the Midlands.

Leicester?

Google 'stay, play & explore' Leicestershire

We had 2 nights in hotel, and visited space centre, bosworth battlefield & conkers (twin lakes theme park & snibston discovery are also included in deal)

It was cheap & we had a great time :)
