Group of between 6 and 8. Based west midlands, would travel a couple of hours, I think. Budget prob mid range, think £150 max for weekend I guess.

We're a mixed bag - some will put dressing gowns on as they arrive and stay in them till it's time to leave, some will want to spa a bit, then have a mooch, some v outdoorsy. Suitable hitel would be fine but Self catering might be ideal though spa facilities hard to come by in those cases. Not Center parcs - we are AVOIDING kids that weekend. Wink

Any recommendations gratefully received.

what about a weekend away in bath? we stayed in a cheaper premier inn place and then went to bath spa for the treatments. fantastic open air roof top pool. it also let those who wanted and could afford to have lots of treatments and those that didn't could go shopping. afternoon tea in the pump house was great too. you might struggle a bit to find a hotel with treatments for £75 a night. have you tried any of the money off / 2 for one type sites as they often have things for places like champneys at bargain prices.

eden hall nr nottingham is a great day spa then you could stay in either nottingham or lincoln and have a day around the city

I've booked a fair number of spa weekends for hen dos and meetup weekends - often the chapest and easiest way to do it is through an agent (i.e. booking website). You can give them a call if you can't spot what you're looking for and they can suggest suitable offers.

Good ones I've used are spaandhotelbreak.co.uk, wahanda.com (web-only) and bookaspa.com.

If you want to stay in the West Midlands, Fairlawns near Walsall is fabulous - great food, therapists all excellent and you get rooms just a short walk down a corridor from the spa. Setting isn't amazing countryside but fine for a night or two. Might be too expensive for two nights but £150.00 would get you a night with dinner and treatments I think.

For a bargain and a city centre location, Sheffield Mercure is great value. Plenty to see - bang next to the botanic gardens and close to shops. They do a good deal including room, dinner, breakfast and treatments I seem to remember.

A good alternative might be a shared cottage with hot tub and getting a mobile beautician over for the day to give treatments?
