Centre Parcs Elveden - Anyone used the creché

Mum & Dad have booked for us to go to Centre Parcs as a suprise break after our wedding, we will be taking DD with us who will be 2.
Just wondered if anyone has used the creché before and what their opinions were ?

We were thinking of maybe booking DD in for a few hours so we could go to the spa and have some treatments or maybe have a round of golf (with me being the caddy of course).

My ds went in the creche when he was about 2, about 3and a half and when he was 4 too.

Loved it everytime, he is quite a confident little boy though and has never been clingy. That said the staff were fab, vaery friendly and welcoming.

I'd go for it if your dd likes that kind of thing.

We foudn that the creche was very good. Ds2 wasm't readily convinced (partly because he could see ds1 heading for what looked like a more exciting venue), but they had plenty of activities to keep him occupied. I thought that their facilities were good, and that the staff ratio was excellent (esp if you go for a lunchtime or afternoon session). The only downside is that I always think that 3 years in one creche is quite a stretch , and whilst they have enough staff, there is the risk that your child is the oldest with a load of babies. but you can alwasy check the bookigns when you're there if that is an issue. As I say the staff were very helpful.

Well that makes me feel slightly better. To be honest I am not overly concerned about leaving her, as soon as she see's activities she will be off in a flash and wont even bat and eyelid at me or her dad but DP is worrying about it.
He doesn't like the idea of leaving her with strangers even for a couple of hours

Would I need to book a slot at the creché in advance ?

Yep you need to book before you get there if you want a slot the day you get there, I have always booked it in advance as much as possible because you need to book spa times asap.

I'm sure there is some kind of offer if you book the creche and aqua sana at the same time. That might be nice for you and dp to do together.

My dp was worried about leaving ds too mainly cos he had never been there when I dropped him off at nursery etc so had no experience of it. But was very relieved that ds just went and sat in the circle, turned round and waved then totally ignored us stood there and made some friends.

Am sure your dd will have just as much fun at the creche as you will with some time to the two of you.

dd1 has been in there several times and she absolutely loved it....the only problem was getting her out of there!

Ah thanks, this is making me feel so much better.
Neea, DD went to a nursery for a few months and i was always the one who dropped her off and collected her so DP never got to see how she walked in and didn't even notice I was still standing there. I will show him this thread later to try and reassure him.
I think it would be a lovely idea to book her in, she would love it, she interacts brilliantly with other children and it means we can have some adult time relaxing in the spa.
I am getting so excited now, am just having a look at some of the restaurants. The description for our villa says it has a BBQ, does anyone know if we need to take coals, firelgithers etc ?
