London Zoo - admission prices

Just been online and can see that with a voluntary donation it costs £80 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children and without a voluntary donation it will cost £72.

Am travelling to London by train and wish to use a 2-for-1 voucher to purchase the tickets (you can use these if you show a valid train ticket) but I think they only apply if you purchase tickets on the day.

I might be being dim but I can't seem to find out how much it would cost me to purchase tickets to the Zoo on the day. Is it a different price? They are banging on about how you save money by buying online so I assume buying on the day would be more expensive?

Just want to make sure that I am not holding out for a bargain when it's not IYSWIM?

Ticket prices:

scroll down and the gate prices are at the right hand side.

I think 2for1 is the best you can get.

But: is there a particular reason for going to London zoo? I am asking because I found it not really good.

We love Whipsnade or Howletts. Maybe more difficult to go without a car though. Some people recommend Colchester but I haven't been there yet.

Thanks noramum will look again, obviously being dense before! I don't particularly want to go, I've been before kids and have been to better zoos but for some reason my DD has fixated on going. Doesn't mean we definitely will but I might as well print out some 2for1 vouchers just in case.
