Birmingham hotels

DSIS and me are off to a concert in the symphony hall.

I've promised to book a night in a nice mainstream hotel within walking distance.

Anyone stayed at the Novatel, jury's inn, Hilton, etc.
Hyatt looks beautiful, but £150 is a bit much. £100 with breakfast if possible for two.

Thanks

The Hyatt would be my choice, have been to quite a few events there, and started my honeymoon there, so I have fond memories Wink. And it's well within walking distance of the SH, you could probably crawl if it;s that sort of evening.

The Marriott is abit further out, but, hey, if it's good enough for Bill Clinton...

Sorry, just read the budgetty thing.

Jury;s INN is also very close, and haven;t stayed at that one, but have at other branches (?) and they are more than fine.

I haven't stayed in the Birmingham one but have stayed in several Novotels and they've been fine. Breakfast is v decent.

Thanks
The Hyatt looks lovely, but the idea is concert one night and shopping the next day. DSIS lives 50 miles from even a minor town and somehow I always spend more money than I budgeted when we shop together.

I'm not sure about crawl, but a fair bit of beer followed by gin in the hotel was consumed when we did this in Cardiff.

Malmiason at the mail box is gorgeous and you can sometimes get a deal?

We uses to stay at the city inn- I think it's called something else now but that uses to be reasonably priced but lovely.
