Holy Island by public transport

Google is proving unhelpful: the tides timetable is available from the post office on the island. Great. Buses run to Blean and some buses run to the island. Great.
How the heck do I time a train arrival into Berwick upon Tweed and then transport to the island for two adults, one dippy grandma/mil and three children?

Beal.

Actually have just found some more useful bus stuff but would still appreciate any experience of doing this trip please.

Hahaha "on certain days there is a bus service", "services are timed to connect with some, but not all Berwick buses" Great.

The tide times are here. Not sure about buses though.

Lordy. Can u hire a car from Berwick instead? Have seen bus stops but never a bus on our trips to holy island!! And you can't really walk the causeway, t's too far.
