Where's nice to eat with kids in Ambleside/Hawkshead/Sawrey?

Going tomorrow and self-catering with picnic lunches whilst walking but want to have an evening meal out with them. Apparently the nearest pub is Tower Bank Arms but have heard people on here say its not good.

Ah, shame I missed this - no Internet reception where we were stsying. Ended up in Dodd's, Ambleside, and very nice it was too!
