Cottage-type holiday, but with (shared) amenities?

does anyone know of a cottage-type holiday (in a small town or village) in the Sussex area which is on a kind of resort-type thing with good amenitites - pool, tennis, etc. Am hapy to share with other families as well.

I'll be holidaying with my daughter, and am worried that if we get a cottage she might get bored easily (she's 7) with just us two, so some kind of shared amenities would be good.

Have looked at park resorts, but jeeze they're expensive in August and not much of a choice of accommodation left!
