Puky or Ridgeback Scoot balance bike?

Hi, trying to decide between two balance bikes for my lo. I've narrowed it down to either the Puky or Scoot. Anyone have either of these? I know they're both good bikes, I just can't choose between them!

Any help appreciated

We had the smallest Puky and it was great. Which is lightest?

They're both the same weight. The puky lrm is the lightest but his inseam is long enough for the one up and so then would last him longer. How long did the smallest one last your lo?

Until he was about 2.5, but he is small for his age. How old is your lo?

My two both used the smallest Puky until 3.5, moving straight on to a 14" bike (no stabilisers).

I found by 2.5 he was going so fats that the small wheels didn't cope very well - also there wasn't much tread left on them so not very grippy. But yes maybe size wise it could have gone on a bit longer.

Ah, see I'm getting it for his 2nd bday and he is a big boy for his age, so I think I will definitely have to get the bigger bike if I want it to last until he's ready for a proper bike. That's great that they learnt to ride a bike so quickly. I'm hoping Sonny will go straight from his balance bike to pedal bike with no stabilisers too!

I think maybe go for the Ridgeback Scoot. Is there a bike shop locally to you that stocks Ridgeback bikes? If so you could go along and he could have a try.

I bet he will go straight to a pedal bike without needing stabilisers. My two did, very easily and quickly :)

I have decided to go for the scoot. I found somewhere that sells a yellow one, which is his favourite colour, so think he will love it :) I'm trying to get my 3 year old to agree to having one but she is adamant she wants a cinderella bike lol. Will be interesting to see the difference in them learnin to ride without stabilisers. Thanks for your help
