Can anyone tell me if this works by choosing from a list of pre-selected names, like the "my pal" from leapfrog? My daughter has a very unusual name and "my pal" has had to be returned as the names list is very limited, I wondered if this is any more likely to be able to say her name. I can't find any information through google.

I googled it and found the instruction manual

You can type in your child's name when you download the software as well as some personal messages.

Hi-I had the exact same problem as my daughter has a very unique name but I just called up VTech customer services and they added it to their download list- the number I called was 01235 546810.
