Metal, get the lightest one you can - we had Strider Bike since DD1 was 2 and still loves it at 5.

I've seen this one and am umming and ahhing as seems a good deal as its age 2 - 6 and looks a lot like the islabike ones... Which I love but can't justify the cost whilst on maternity leave lol

My friends little boy was unable to use his wooden balance bike, way to heavy for him to manoeuvre. My other two friends little boys got on great guns with the red metal balance bike from kiddi care...was about £35.00 I think? HTH!

Looking for a balance bike for DDs second birthday and am torn between getting a metal one or a wooden one? What is the difference? Is one better then the other?

Only want to spend around £50
