Receiving an inheritance

I hope someone can advise me please, a relative of mine died a couple of months ago and she left me a small cash gift in her Will.

The executors of the Will detest me and the feeling is mutual.

I am wondering if they can make things difficult and try to prevent me from receiving my gift? I haven't heard a word from them since the funeral.

How long does it normally take to receive a gift from a Will and should I do anything in the meantime? Thank you.

Legally, they can't - do you know if a solicitor is dealing with probate? It can take 6-12 months depending on whether there is property to be sold etc

Thank you. Ok I didn't realise it would be such a big timescale to receive it. I don't know if they are instructing a solicitor and I would not be able to phone them up and ask.

Do I just wait and see what happens?

Do you have any idea of which solicitor could have drawn up the will?
