Long story short... Been with DP 8 years. He started lifting and got fit and muscly. I started eating and went from fit to fat.

I just cancelled my gym membership due to cost.

What can I do in-house to lose weight and get toned???

I struggle with being a massive pig and lacking motivation. My metabolism is great at maintaining weight no matter what I eat but terrible at losing weight. The only time I've actually lost weight in the last 6 years is when I did the clean 9 aka massive calorie deficit. I'm miserable if I don't eat. Do I just need to do a similar diet?

I have a bmi of 24.8 and a fat percentage of 34%. I regularly have heart pains which I think are fat/cholesterol based.

Any advice, greatly appreciated. Grin

To lose weight you need to create a calorie deficit as you said. Best way is prob by diet but you can add exercise too. In terms of exercises at the house, anything that gets your bloody pumping and a sweat on will help.

If you're having heart pains then I would suggest a relatively urgent trip to the GPs as that does not sound normal at all.

I agree culture. I went to the docs and she literally said 'you're too young for it to be anything serious'. I think I'll call again on Monday.

DP is helping me on the diet side of things and has come up with a food plan. I'm thinking some jogging and an exercise video. I see them pop up on my Facebook feed. I'll do sit ups/leg raises and squats too. Grin

Hi Cassie! What do you actually enjoy doing? I think at this stage it's worth trying a bit of everything, but it might be that the thing you look forward to is dancing, or swimming or hula hooping! Ultimately it doesn't really matter as long as you're active. The more you enjoy, the more you'll do and the better you'll feel! Smile

I enjoy sitting down and eating Grin

I do enjoy dancing but don't get the opportunity. If I knew no one was watching then I probably could! Grin

You could probably have a solo boogie in your living room! I bet you could find some sort of instructional video on YouTube if you look hard enough. What kind of dance do you want to start with? I'll take a look too!

I tried this morning with pop/dance/r n b but I felt like such a fool. I did squats/soy ups etc but you are right, I need instructional. Tomorrow I have a high intensity cardio workout.

This woman seems to have a lot and from a brief look they seem really good. Grin

I believe that exercise is for fitness but you need to diet for weight loss.
