Is it considered gay for a man to wear a watch on the right wrist?

No, it's considered left handed.

I think you need to look up the definition of gay, I think you're getting it confused with the word fashionable Confused

Confused

Hmm

If I saw a man -or woman - with their watch on his right wrist the only thing I might think was that they were left handed.

I think it is considered gay for a man to have intercourse with another man and even that isn't a rule set in stone. Watches, earrings, wearing pink...no Hmm

Do you understand what gay means?? Being gay isn't about what wrist you wear your watch on Confused

JenLindleyShitMom · 04/11/2016 19:10

I think that's called having two wrists to choose from.

You mean like an earring in thr right ear? There used to be codes like that for gays and lesbians to recignise each other when it was dangerous and illegal to be out.

Report
Redglitter · 04/11/2016 19:11

Yes it's like a secret code so gay men recognise each other. Hmm

The threads on here just keep getting more and more bizarre

Considered gay by whom?

a) MN?
That's going to be a big 'no' with a side of 'homophobic arsehole'

b) Major Misunderstanding out of Viz?
That'll be a yes.

Only if your 7 years old and don't really understand what gay means Hmm

Oh, how disappointing.

I was all ready for a new type of woo.

Gay ghosts. I wonder whether sexual preferences are a thing in the next life?

I'll keep an eye out for left handed ghosts with their eyes on the time anyway.

Grin This reminds me of the time an infant pupil told me my pencil sharpener was gay Grin

What are weird question OP?!

As far as I'm aware watches are worn on the left wrist as the twizzle-watchhand-turner thing is on the right so they can be changed easily. On the right hand it would be completely different. You can get right hand wearing watches that have the twiddly bit of the left side of the bezel.
Yes, I'm aware that language makes very little sense. Grin

I assume the OP is referring to when there were 'hidden' signs that men were gay. No idea what they were though.

Have none of you ever heard of this with your sneery comments?

Only if he is using the hand onthe right wrist to wank off another man.

Only if you are wearing an earring in your right ear at the same time (well I THINK that was the rule when I was at school 25 years ago) Hmm

I have a friend who is both left-handed and gay and he wears his watch on the right wrist. I'd always assumed that it was because he was left-handed rather than giving a signal, because having a boyfriend and being open about being gay would logically mean that he doesn't also need a secret signal.
