.. so moving 2 ponies from 1 field to another..leading both along the road.

Car speeding towards us doing well over the 40 mph limit and even though I put my hand up, ignored me.

Pony spooked.. same 1 I fell of, he spun round and caught my ankle with his hoof. Unfortunately he's neawly shod for the summer ground.. usually barefoot.

I am sitting with my foot up with cold cloth round it, my ankle is so swollen I can't see the ankle bone. Bet it will be a lovely colour tomorrow... and I have paid entry fees for a show on Sunday and bet I won't be able to get my boots on.

ggggggrrrrrrrr!!!!! why are people so inconsiderate....

Ouch poor you. Last week my mum tried to stop traffic so we could get dhorse across a roundabout but a woman just kept driving straight at us. Honestly if she couldn't see a very large horse and several people wearing hi-viz she probably shouldn't have been driving at all.

I hope your foot feels better soon. You haven't broken anything have you?

Aloe Vera, Aloe Vera and more Aloe Vera! It is amazing on bruises. Poxy drivers should all have to ride down a busy road before taking their test! I once had a row with a farmer friend, who drives those Huge supertractors, waay to fast, about how if you cant control horses, you shouldnt take them on the road! Jesus, I spook when they drive past me! He soon changed his tune when I pointed out that we often take his daughter out riding with us!

Maybe you should have an x-ray?

Wish it was possible in those circumstances to take down car registration and report to police. Obviously isn't first thing you think of when horse is going bananas. Think you should tell police anyway? Description of car, driver etc - would they do anything?

We got good result from complaining about low flying private aircraft, people have died because of stuff like that.

anyway hope you are somehow ok for Sunday

NO!!

foot too sore and swollen and posh boots wouldn't go on.

went riding though in the non-posh boots as they fitted. :-)

no pain in ankle and foot now am walking fine, but the bruising is huge and technicolor

Get some aloe vera gel for next time. it is amazing stuff. I have a tube in my bag permanently. I useit on kids, animals and me. Rub it on a little ones bumped head and the bruise will be much reduced if it comes out at all!
