Hoping to get out and do a few local tests this year but I'm not sure what to wear. I've read various things about what's acceptable but can't seem to piece it together.
I've got a tweed jacket which I've heard us okay.
Beige jodhpurs
Both brown and black boots but if possible eoykd prefer to wear brown as they're my smarter ariats.

What colour shirt should I have?
Stock or tie? Any particular colours?
Brown gloves? I know not white.

What about horse? He's usual in a black snaffle and dressage saddle anyway but white saddle cloth or not?

Tweed is fine for lower levels.
Brown boots ok with tweed as long as they're plain.
For tweed, breeches must be beige/cream NOT white.
Stock shirt and coloured stock, or normal shirt and coloured tie.
Brown gloves.
Hairnet.
Navy hat/hat cover.

If you don't wear tweed, then if you're female its navy jacket and hat, male it's black jacket and hat.

For the horse, normal snaffle tack is fine, and yes you should have a white saddlecloth.

Good luck! What test(s) are you doing?

Tweed is actually more correct at the lower levels, it's just fashion that people tend to wear navy/black at the moment.

Your saddle cloth doesn't have to be white - I use a black one as white ones make my skewbald's white bits look grubby!

Good luck and enjoy :)

Check to see if the competition is being run under BD rules. If so you should wear light coloured gloves. Beige would look good with a tweed jacket.
