I've just booked my first lesson for Horse Vaulting (gymnastics on horses!!!). I've ridden most of my life so thought I'd shift it up to the next level! Is this crazy?? Has anyone had any experience doing this?

I wish you luck, I saw a display at HOYS last year and it was amazing but there's no way on earth I'd be able to do it. I was never one of the springy ones when I was a child and I'm certainly not now!

I'm so excited though ha ha!! Ever since u watched Hotshots when that women somersaults onto her horse I always wanted to do that. So I thought why the fuck not!! My DP is getting the heebee Jeebees 😂 I'm quite flexible and very strong. I'm nervous as I can only somersault into a pool but very excited to learn. To make matters worse extreme I've also booked my first kite surfing lesson . It's extreme year time

I did this when I was younger, it was soooo much fun!

I am old though now and would be far too worried about breaking things. Plus I can only get on a horse now with a step, and making a big 'oooowwfff' noise. I don't think that's encouraged.
