Pregnant and bored! Riding vicariously through OH!

I'm almost 5 months pregnant and so bored! I've coerced my OH into doing hunter trials and maybe some indoor SJ - purely because I want some excitement in my life! My horses are all turned out and I am itching to get back on!
Anyone else in or been in the same situation in the past?!
Ps I know I could theoretically ride but its the falling off bit thats dangerous - hence I'm stopping till post-baby.

Me! 24 weeks and insanely jealous of all the friends out hunting, competing and fun-riding.

I'm still doing a bit of gentle hacking about once a week and already plotting my return to the saddle post-baby. I have a lovely sheepskin seat-saver from the last baby (almost 5 years ago). This baby is due in January, likely to be born at the end of Jan based on past experience, so I'm hoping I'll be back riding after 4 weeks and have the horse fit for hunting before the end of the season Hmm Grin

I am hoping to get a day or two in before the end of the season too ;)

Based on past experience (I've gone 2 weeks over with both of my children) I'll also be out following in the 4x4 trying to jiggle the baby out with some off-roading.

Had a lovely ride on my old mare last night - she's 22 and took good care of me. We had a little canter too but in the back of my mind I'm terrified she'll stumble. It has never happened in the 15 years I've had her but, somewhat reluctantly, I do think I need to slow down a bit more.

How is your pregnancy going four? Have you stopped all horsey stuff altogether or are you still shovelling/ lifting/ grooming?

I have a livery yard and a very good groom so thankfully I don't actually need to do any heavy stuff. I used to have an old mare like you but she died two years ago - I have nothing steady any more. So I just have to wait....

Me!!!! Only just 6 weeks but high risk so am pretty much bound to doing nothing & I'm a groom - for a hunt yard - desperate to be out hunting! Instead twiddling my thumbs! This is going to be a seriously long 9 months.
Can't even tell people I'm pregnant yet so having to turn down everything I'm invited too & make excuses!! Argh!!!

Me, 26 weeks and bored to tears! Mine are all roughed off and turned out and bloody fat!! I stopped riding at about 20 weeks, mainly as we moved house and with everything so hectic at home, full time job, I was managing to ride probably once or twice a week. My gelding had a tantrum (to be fair he usually only does this at events but I think lack of work meant he was too fresh!) which involved his delightful spin/rear, hump/buck manoeuvre. I hacked out once after that but thought maybe it was time to call it a day. I had honestly intended to ride for as long as I could (this is my first).

And I'm gutted to be missing hunting though, seeing all the pics from my friends out and I'm just dieing to be out!

I didn't have my own whilst pregnant but missed it so much. I jumped back into the saddle 5 weeks post partum as couldn't bear it any longer. Once you get to the last trimester it'll fly by!!
