Has anyone used magnetic boots/wraps to good effect?

My mare has rather large windgalls atm not helped by being in overnight for up to 15/16 hours (on full livery). I am not riding her for a few days as she was slightly "off" in trot when ridden on Tuesday although apparently sound in walk and when trotted up yesterday.

I wondered if it was worth buying some magnetic boots/wraps to help with the swelling. Unfortunately I can't do much about turnout time Sad.

My mare damaged her annular ligament earlier this year & was on box rest for weeks & had a big swelling that didn't seem to be going down.

I bought her the bioflow boots & I did feel they had a positive effect & tbh I was just pleased that I could do something for her, rather than waiting around for weeks.

After about 4 months, the swelling just suddenly disappeared & fingers x'd she seems totally sound again.

Good luck

Had the vet out on Wednesday, now on two weeks box rest and bute. Lame in trot, on lunge both on hard and soft surfaces. Failed flexion in both hocks and nr hind fetlock. It is low grade but she is not sure what the problem is, if is coming from her back, pelvis etc. Have been only hacking her but the ground is not good, think mud and then flints etc.

Keeping fingers crossed she comes sound otherwise vet wants to go down the nerve block route etc....

Mine was diagnosed with an ultrasound but she was hopping lame & had a lot of heat & swelling.

She responded really well to a cortisone injection, so luckily we didn't have to go down the nerve block route but their was talk of it at the time.

Good luck!!
