I came 5th (think there were 10 in the class) at my first ever dressage comp yesterday Am v v v happy with that

In my first competition my pony bucked in the warmup (never done that before), bucked in the ring, then reared (never done that before), then I got off and led him out .

I was just talking to YO, and she was telling everyone how she'd been really worried when I said I was going to do it but is really, really pleased. And she is a hard lady to impress ! 71.3% on the test sheet

Allpastyears - my friend tells the story of her first ever affiliated event where her horse went into the arena, took one look at the mirrors, and galloped across the arena, jumped the fence, and took off for the lorry. Not an auspicious start !
