Help me find a horse for my friend

She wants a very steady decent sized cobby type , that doesnt mind living out (she has all the rugs a horse could want ) , it would have company in the form of a shetland . She is a lovely lady and is struggling to find a horse that would suit both her and her novice husband . If you know anyone who has one for sale or loan even , she is in North Yorkshire but would travel for the right horse .

'Tis a buyers market, there are plenty of horses out there. Have a look at all of the online sites.

Well I acutally found DD's lovely pony (and found a lovely loan home for her out-grown pony) on Preloved. You can join the site for £5 a year (though you don't have to) which gives you first dips on new adverts. You can also place as many adverts as you want for nothing, including pictures.

You could try the Pony Club classified pages, but these tend to be expensive competition ponies and horses. Dragon Driving is another place where you will find loads of cobs. It is run by travellers for travellers though, so you would need your wits about you when buying from there.

Dragon driving is a good/bad site. Many of the ponies have been broken early, and some aren't in top nick, but you can get a bargain, and IMO, you won't stop the gypsies breeding ponies, but you can give one a good home.
