We have a rule at our field that any new horses/ponies have to go in the quarantine paddock, which is a good distance away from any of the others, for 2 weeks. Atm we are being even more vigilant because several yards in the area have been confirmed with strangles. So today, idiot girl takes delivery of new pony, puts it in isolation paddock with lots of fuss and cuddles, then marches straight down to see to her other horses, which can reach their companions on either side of them! What on earth is the point?

Some people are just dimwits. When Gd's new pony arrived she had ringworm, so isolation, handled with gloves, dealt with last, and old rug and headcollar which were burnt after treatment finished. Not one other horse caught it. Sounds like a quiet word is needed!
