I think my best bet will be word of mouth, but I do like to trawl the web! Currently looking at nfed.com and the pony club website. Are some sale sites better than others? Thanks!

We've always bought and sold through horsequest. It is really well laid out with everything broken up by category - although of course some animals appear under different headings - and the big, multiple photos are a real help.

Whereabouts are you.Our lovely old girl came from the PC website, but was also advertised in the local feed store.Horsehunter,Horsequest, horsedeals,Equineads and Horsegossip are all pretty good [can't you tell I'm looking atm too?] Also I put an ad on preloved, but got nothing suitable from it,they were all youngsters.

Good luck and if you see anything 11-12.2 in the East mids, please let me know.Grin

Hi Ativa, Pony Club website is very good, but you do tend to pay extra for the experienced pony club paragons who often have PC references. Wherabouts are you? We may possibly be looking for a second sharer for 13.3hh little superstar of a pony (Leicestershire) if that might be of interest

There's a couple of lovely 13 hh ponies on the Pony Club website from area 6. Not mine but I know them and would buy in a flash if we needed a 13hh.

Dpony came from Horsequest, we've found they are better if you are looking for showing ponies than all-rounder types.

We are Somerset Sad

I don't really want the responsibility of a pony club paragon! dd is very confident with all the non-glamorous parts of riding - she absolutely loves the looking after parts. She loves riding but is a slightly nervous jumper as we made the classic mistake of pushing her too early and she had a bad fall Blush. Our ideal pony would be 13hh (dd1 would outgrow quite quickly but we have two other pony mad dcs waiting int he wings!), very mannerly and affectionate, bombproof when hacking out but happy to jump a round of 2' 2'3" happily but not necessarily at speed!

Currently she is looking after a 27 year old shetland and a 12 year old who hasnt been ridden for 8 years. No glory at all in those ponies Grin but she has been so committed and sweet and patient with them.

dpony was ex PC and was under £1000,because she's 20,not that she looks or acts it.When I was looking last week I found lots of ponies in the South West, but none in the midlands.Do you want to loan or buy and do you mind me asking your budget? I'll have a look for you and see if I can find anything.

Ativa-Midlands, so Notts/derbys

Mirage-have you thought about the Blue Cross Centre at Rolleston-On-Dove? DD's friend has an amazing pony from there, I think we'll definitely contact them when time comes for DD to move on. They don't always advertise everything they have on their website though.

Well a loan would be great because I don't think I can afford to buy anything until next year, my budget would be 2,500 max, I hope this is enough...

Thankyou marialuis,I didn't realise that they didn't advertise everything they had.I've looked at them before, also WHW,but never rung them.I've got an ad going on Welland Valley Feeds today too,and one in the Country Store,Melton.

Oh,wow, think there is a little chap on the BC website who is what we are looking for.I'll ring them tomorrow and ask about him,as they shut at 3.45pm.Typically his is in Oxfordshire, not Staffs, but I don't mind travelling if he is the right pony.Thankyou marialuisa.Smile
