does anyone know where i can get small holed, small haynets suitable for my lamanitic prone pony. the only ones i can seem to find have large holes (want something with 5-6cm holes) or they are the haylage nets which are too big generally.

Either put another haynet on top or use a haylage one. You dont have to fill it.

What holds a lot, holds a little Grin

no idea where you could get them but love Disaster's idea of 2 haynets together - I was going to suggest making the holes smaller with baler twine but 2 haylets is a much better idea!

If you need to replace then get haylage ones. I use these on my mare because she could devour 2 sections in 5 minutes otherwise.

Just found these on Robbies.

They say small holes, no rings which usually means its a haylgae net but it doesnt say and it doesnt say how big the holes are... [unhelpful]

Have you considered a hay bag? You can get them with a net section over the hole. My mare used to have one, it was brilliant! this shop has a fine mesh net and a hay bag with a grille.

Great, thanks for all those ideas. Will check out robbies and barnstormers (never come across either before) tonight!
