I've just gone back this September after maternity leave and everything is going so wrong. I am back part time I feel like the school want to employ the woman who did my maternity cover and currently works 2 days a week. I can't do anything right, sorry for the name change but I am dreading tomorrow

Maybe it's time for you to move to another school?
Could you hand your notice in soon and start looking for part time jobs in your local area?
It sounds like they'd got into a groove with you Mat cover and are not being flexible.

It's everything. I feel like the harder I try to do a good job the worse I do.

There are never part time jobs advertised.

What is it in particular, if you can pin it down? Maybe we can help. Are you primary or secondary? For what it's worth, I felt totally out of touch when I went back after mat leave. I honestly didn't have a clue what I was doing and felt like I was lagging behind everyone else. I did catch up and now I'm only as clueless and behind as everyone else. It took a few months but I did get there.
