We break up a week on friday, i haven't had mine yet... Don't know if this is normal for this school, it's my first year here. Luckily i don't have childcare to sort, or i might be getting a bit twitchy.

Still not got it, although I've seen a provisional one that shouldn't change, just not with sets on it. Last year it was practically the last day of term. Given that I'm part time and need to sort childcare this is really annoying.

Last Friday, and we started teaching it today...

We got it when we came back after half term, but with disclaimer about staffing could change. With staff was released 2 weeks ago.
We also know all next years school holidays and inset days. Plus various dates likes discos and fetes
Don't think we are the norm though.

Not yet finalised, but I've had mine for over a month. But that's because I'm a college so as course leader, I wrote it Grin. The thought of being at someone else's mercy for timetable writing is what prevents me from going back into a secondary school!

This year I didn't get even a hint of mine before the second inset day in September Hmm

We have had ours for a couple of weeks and it was later than usual... I'd be going mad if I didn't know what I was teaching next year at the start of September. It's important to have it at least a few weeks before the end of the year so that we can use our gained time (and summer holidays) effectively for planning.

Going to a meeting about it tomorrow.

Got mine today!

We got ours just before 1/2 term. There was bits of tweaking after, but the main bit was through 2 weeks before 1/2 term.

I have had mine on the last day of term before now

Only seen a draft but I would like to see the final copy as I often get a randon subject given to me at the last minute. Last year it was the last day of term.

Got my timetable for my new school last week but won't know classlists until.next week. The teachers in the school I trained in this year haven't got theirs yet, but they did find out today who is teaching sixth form next year so I expect it will all shake down from that and they should get timetables next week.

I've known my allocations (I.e. Number of sets in each year group, 6th form modules) since before half term. Got the time table last week but won't have set lists for KS3 until inset.

We got it on Weds but there have been a few changes since! We break up on weds.

Rosieposy4 · 11/07/2015 00:56

We have known which groups we are getting ( mostly, a few last minute changes can occur) for a couple of weeks, timetables not formally out but if you roll sims forward to sept you can see current state of play but not set in stone! We break up in a week.

When we go back in September. We know which groups we will be teaching (although subject to change).

Mind you my timetable changed 3 times this year...and a similar number of times the year before. You need to be flexible to survive at our place

You can view it on SIMS by going to the 'timetable of a teacher' tab, change the date to eg 02/09/15 then click refresh ... Unless your school has a policy of disabling this function (unusual), you should be able to view it. However, as others have commented above, it's obviously subject to change until term actually starts.

I find it very useful to know, as I like to be organised ahead. My school is a very well-run & supportive place, but sadly my own (small) department is prone to playground politics re. 'who's having which class', so I'm looking forward to the end of this week when the worst offender is moving on to pastures new !

Beginning of July. It's really organised here. I actually got my hours/days etc a bit earlier as I asked as I had to book sessions with the childminder.

First year I taught it was the first day of Setpember... and it was wrong!

It is through the Sims report that I have seen a draft but there are apparently many changes to take place yet. So far I have only one new subject in KS4 which is externally assessed. Who knows when we get the final draft. Class won't appear until Sept but for yr 7 they are often incorrect.
