school lost application form?

I am going to keep this vague as don't want to out myself. I applied for a teaching job recently and didn't hear anything which surprised me as ticked all the boxes of the person specification. Anyway, emailed the school for some feedback as to why I hadn't even been shortlisted only to hear that they have never received my application form. I did however receive a confirmation email from the school administrator saying that my online application had been received safely. Has anybody ever experienced this? What do I do now and where do I stand? Any replies gratefully received, thanks

Have the interviews taken place? Has the school appointed?

If the answer is yes, nothing that you can do. Chalk it up to life is harsh sometimes and get on to writing a stonking application for the next job.

if the answer is no, then forward the email confirming your application was received and request that your application can please be considered in light of the administrative error.

Was probably my school! Do as poster above suggested and ask for it to be considered.

Don't think interviews have taken place yet as deadline was just before the holidays but not entirely sure. Will let you know what the school comes back with on Monday. Thanks!
