Anyone with experience marking KS2 SATs

Just wondering whether anyone knows how strictly they apply the person spec for markers? I was planning to apply this year but just looked at the website and they want people to have 2 full years teaching in the last 8 years which I don't have.

I was a secondary English teacher before having the DCs then in the last couple of years I've been doing a mix of tutoring, 1:1 and a bit of supply. Lots of it has been in Y6 and I've also been doing some voluntary Y6 literacy support so feel like I'm up date in the area I want to mark but have nothing like 2 full academic years on my CV. Wondering if there's any point if they'll discount me straight away.

I'd be really grateful if anyone has any experience to share.
