AIBU to ask for a transfer four weeks into term?!

This is week four and I'm hating working with my jobshare partner. There's an advert out today for jobs elsewhere and I'm tempted to ask to be moved.

I work two days a week in class with a colleague who treats me like a student: bosses me about, grills me on my lesson plans, undermines me in front of the pupils, overrides my plans to go ahead with their plans.

I'm on anti-depressants anyway, and working with this person is really setting my recovery back. I'm not due in the class until tomorrow, and I already have a sore stomach thinking about it.

I can't do this for a whole year. sad

I wouldn't hesitate to ask. A year is a long time to be miserable.

I'm going to talk to my HT tomorrow.

Good luck - let us know how you got on.

Better for you, but better for your pupils and the school to have a harmonious and positive jobshare. That's not a criticism of you at all, but some partnerships just don't work.
So yes, move ASAP.

If I was in your situation I would definitely ask the question. If anything it will highlight his unhappy you are and why. Good luck!
