I have a new job lined up for September in a pmld school just around the corner. Short commute, the specialist area I want. Been feeling great about it but now I've handed in my notice it feels 'real'. What if I can't do it? What if the all the staff at the new school hate me? Aaarghh! I'm already so nervous!

Phew, anyone else got the 'new job nerves' already?

Me! Been at my current school for seven years (since being an NQT) and got offered a job in a new school on Friday. So excited about September but scared about leaving my lovely colleagues and the fab children. Feel a bit weepy, although I know it's the right move for me.

Congratulations on the new job!

Thanks, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! Planning my new job wardrobe and trying not to feel guilty as I start transition planning for my current class

Congratulations! I think it must be totally normal too feel strange. Your school and colleagues are such a huge part of your life.

I got basically my dream job yesterday and have felt really odd and emotional last night and today. All my colleagues were happy for me but so sorry to see me go. I feel really torn at present (it is the right decision for me though).

Glass of wine, plenty of sleep, fresh air and NO school work is my plan this weekend. How does that sound?
