Parents evening.

I had parents' evening last night. Most parents were lovely and supportive of their children and the school.
I had been slightly ahead of time but couldn't, despite standing holding the door open, get one parent to leave. This meant I went from 5 minutes early to 3 minutes late for appointments.
A few parents later and a mum shouted, "she didn't have time for time wasters and we would have to reschedule. All over 3 minutes, seriously?!?
Another parent decided she just had to take a conference call on her blackberry and shushed me. She did leave when I told her we would reschedule for when she had time to talk to me.
I've had parents clearly off their heads before and parents fighting in the playground after appointments.
Anyone else have stories?

I usually go to the pub for a pint with DH on the way to parents' evenings. Only one and we eat mints on the way up to school.

We rarely get babysitters so Grin

So the slightly cheerful and mint smelling couple are us. I promise not to stay beyond the allotted time though.

Elfycat, that is fine. Grin
I just don't understand some people though. I suppose you get odd people in every situation and I shouldn't take it personally.
